A Mother & Daughter moved back to the FM area and were in need to Christen Joy’s services to turn their average condo into a space that felt like home and had a spark of creativity. The project included the entire space of the two-bedroom, two bath condo and Christen needed to work floor to ceiling and was told ‘be creative!’. To kick off fresh paint, window treatments and both, new and additional lighting were added to lighten up the space. Before thinking about furniture, in the living room we added literal warmth with building out a floor to ceiling stacked stone, modern fireplace that would be the anchor of the room. The owner’s furniture was sold with her previous home thus furnishing the home was top priority. From dining room sets, bar stools, area rugs, bed sets, side tables to accent chairs – the condo was filled with neutral furniture to allow for pops of color and more unique pieces to interject flavor into the home. Patterned pieces and interesting details which included both texture, velvet to rope, and intricate woodturnings created a space that was both fresh and interesting. Beautiful bedding and accent pillows made the perfect place to lay your head while the supporting artwork and decor created personalized spaces for both Mom & Daughter. From additional artwork to accessories throughout the home, details were added to create a space that was free of clutter while hosting color, dimension and that home feeling.
